Interline Driver Job Descriptions

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

It is the responsibility of the Interline Baggage Driver to ensure that the baggage’s are delivered in a safe and prompt manner. An Interline Driver’s duty will include, but not limited to all of the following:

  • Pick up and deliver transfer baggage within 25 minutes to their designated drop off location
  • Maintain an average of above 90% of total baggage delivered within 25 minutes
  • Read and Understand bad tag information
  • Utilize the MC 75 Scanner efficiently
  • Learn airline drop off and pickup locations
  • Operate a TUG safely, effectively and efficiently
  • Adhere to company safety rules and regulations
  • Comply with the Airport SAFE program
  • Comply with Interline Baggage Standard Operating Procedure
  • Adhere to all airport regulations
  • PLIJS any other duties as required by the operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a CA Driver License in good standing
  • Must have a High School Diploma or higher
  • Must be able to lift, sort, carry and transfer baggage weighing between 50 to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to stand 6-8 hours daily
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Must be proficient in English
  • Airport experience a big plus
  • One must pass an AOA written test within the first 2 attempts
  • Able to stay overtime to get the work done in timely manner
  • Must be able to work at a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Must be able to legally work in the U.S.A.
